loosen off the rear exhaust system clamp & rotate it round 180 degrees, is more than likely that which is catching

yup there are 2 rubbers which hold up the centre section, i shortened mine by about 3/4 of an inch, also reduced play in it so it hardly moved

didnt cut them, and unsure if there similiar on other corsa's, but the rubber mounts which were on mine had 3 bits like in the picture. one on the left is normal, and on right is how I had them. green bits are the metal brackets from the underside of car & off the exhaust system.

but instead of putting them both in the middle one, you may need to put one in the normal location & one in the middle

mine did the same, but when i raised the backbox, it sat at a funny angle...i.e pointing in the way. it did my tits in so just took it to a custom exhaust place who chopped it up and welded it up in the proper position for me!!!! only 40quid

VERY easy solution to sort this is to pop your car to a good exhaust fitters. They can heat up the bend in the exhaust over the rear axel and once its red hot just put a bit more bend on it to get it to clear. Also turn the clamp around as others have sugested. I wouldnt bother with peoples ideas of fitting foam/rubber to the axel etc as that sound like a bodge job style. If you have the clearance alos fit some shorter exhaust rubbers which the exhaust place should stock. Basically be nice and wave a tenner under their nose when they are quiet and they should sort you and it will only take about 10mins...

Sorry. Posts like this have come up quite often and poeple usually sugest that method. Then we get a twenty page thread on which type of rubber and fixing method is best I think most will agree that simply heating the exhaust section with a blow torch and tweaking it slightly is THE best method...
