Is it a 16v?

The SRi am getting is M-reg and I just tried to do a insurance quote for it to check it out but the idiot at work gave me the wrong plate.

I thought K-reg and L-reg SRi's are 8v and anything beyond that is 16v

Or is there a transition period on M-plate so the early M-plates are 8v's and the later ones are 16v.

Mine 16v and M reg. Noticed that 16vs seem to have a bigger exhaust (oval shaped) well all that i've seen have unless its a cheapo replacement everyones gets.
