Power Box Questions

How easy are they to fit?
If you can take off the top of you inlet manifold its dead easy. There is also a guide here http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=362354

What engines can u fit them on?
X14XE, X16XE, C16XE(C16XE needs a X16XE lower inlet)

Any side affects from these? - in regards to reliability, or mpg??
No reliability issues as you are just shortening the route the air takes in to the engine. MPG might go up a bit as you make the most of more power

What colours do you make them in?
Satin Black is the standard colour but for an extra £5 I can change the colour so long as Halfords stock it

So the inlet comes with all the coloured pipes that are needed?
Yes

Does the same one fit both X14XE and X16XE or do they differ for both?
Yes

How much power would i roughly get out of low mileage 1600 sport?
Depends on other modifications as it compliment other mods such as exhaust manifold good exhaust but roughly 10bhp min

Would my standard x16xe inlet pipe fit?
No a new inlet pipe is supplied

Do I need any new cables etc?
Yes if you do it the easy way of extending the wires from there old position to the new one. Or you can find the wires where the come out of the bulk head and over the suspension turret. The ICV ones can be cut and shortened but the TPS will have to be tapped into to the wires(not cut) there as they are also EGR wires

What about all fixings and gaskets and an egr blanking plate are these included?
Everything included, EGR blanking plate only in C16XE kit

Would there Much point on putting this on my standard 1.4 Sport with no exhaust or engine mod of any kind?
If you want more power yes, plus it’s the beast engine mod to start with

Have you painted the inside also?
Yes

Would you sell just a box (inlet) alone i.e. no throttle body, gaskets, hoses etc?...Just the box and blanking plate?
Yes £110

So what price is it delivered with paypal fees?
£145.60 Stuarthoff@btinternet.com for paypal payments

As far as I'm concerned yes, lets face it not much different to a Mantzel box in that it get rid of a fair bit of restrictive pipework.

I have this 1 on the tigra pov sold

and one almost finished

£5 for P+P

I have paint options for white, back, flame red or DIY

they depend on what other mods you have BTW lads... but you'd feel twice the amount of extra power added with this than you would with a 4-2-1 decat and cat back...

although if you ran with the above youd have a nippy little car

i reckon you can say it adds anything upto 10-12 if youve got an exhaust system, maybe 6 without..

it hasd a turbo like affect, with a powerband at 4k revs

This is the thing I bet most of you have spent more on you exhaust sytems for 3-4bhp.

More development means the cost will rise a bit

don't expect boost and spool up, nor dump valve noises. infact its prob more like vtec,

hits a certain revs and you get a sudden powerband and it starts pulling like hell

remember on the c16xe that you will need the x16xe lower inlet manifold IIRC.

But otherwise, bloody bargain. Used to love my old Corsa Sport with a DBilas manifold, would have another any day of the week, makes the car so much better.

Good luck with the sales, free bump
