I'm a bit OCD, sand the walls removing any little dried lumps off paint from the last paint job and wipe down using a damp cloth. I've never had any problems this way. | |

Oh ok, cheers. That's another job to add to the list then :lol: Currently have no carpet and concrete floors so it's a bit cold :lol: | |

I haven't done it before I painted, but you should use sugar soap. Just degreases the walls. You don't soak the walls so it's running down more of a wipe over | |

Yeah i wasn't aware i needed to wash a wall. Sounds a bit weird and also rather messy. | |

Usually due to not washing the walls down properly (at all?) before painting. | |

Used dulux paint on a wall going up my stairs and up close, you can see it has some ''crackle glaze'' effect to it. |
