i just use usb drag and drop images to specific folder then edit if need be | |

The card slot on my 350d looks to be much more robust than the flap and the usb socket, also much faster. | |

Depends what I can be bothered to do, I have a card reader on my desk at all times but can hardly ever find a usb cable lol. | |

Up until recently I plugged the camera straight into the laptop and downloaded with Vistas transfer files tool. | |

I connect with USB and then transfer with the camera. When you connect it, it loads EOS utility on the computer and once it's loaded up it comes up with some options on the camera too, Transfer All, Transfer new etc. so I just go to transfer new on the camera, ok it then once they're all transfered it tells you on the camera screen, press ok, close EOS utility on the computer and disconnect. | |

just plug the camera into the computer My computer > E: Nikon D40 and my pics come up, drag and drop them into Photoshop from there | |

I usually use USB transfer. Worst thing ever leaving your card in the computer with out realising. | |
