The threat to leave will be enough rather than a thinly veiled threat to go to a competitor who cannot provide you with a service in your area. They will know Virgin aren't in the area.

quote: Personally, I would still try that little stunt, and just play on the fact that you haven't looked into any further than checking out pricing on the Virgin website.

I'll try Sky but I can't threaten them with Virgin as we can't get it round here.

I've got two of the things under my bed. Both have been used for 12 months and then bagged up when we renewed the contract and got a new one installed.

I've got an older box if you want it for a tenner + postage or so, think it's the 40gb (slightly larger than the new versions) one.

Do they not replace faulty equipment while you are a subscriber? Surely you are only renting the box?

My Sky HD box has been playing up for months now. Tried rebuilding the planner but it still gets a blue screen sometimes. The wireless adaptor's stopped working too so want to get a new one. |
