I could be totally wrong, will have to look......more like 15w rings a bell to be honest

That's a bit over the 210W rating of the transformer then is it not?

What wattage are the bulbs?

Munchie

Forgot to mention- it has about 12 bulbs coming off it...all 12V halogen of course

Just the bridging method is putting me off a little

A halogen bulb requires 12v and that's it, can't see why it wouldn't work.

The one I want (Double pole) is now discontinued you see....The ones on ebay are all single pole although some are pictured as double

Right, This is the old transformer from our downlighter.....

OK So i need a new one.....

This 1 on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EAGLERISE-SET210CS-ELECTRONIC-TRANSFORMER-NEW-FREE-P-P-/390407807712?pt=UK_Light_Fittings&hash=item5ae61e62e0#ht_2998wt_1037

Notice the diagram on the right hand side for SEC. It is a single pole thingie.

If I buy the ebay one......will it work if I connect the 4 wires on the right hand side to the new one?
