surely a learning remote wudnt work, or else ppl cud get anyones garages and other stuff etc | |

If it's rf the remote is probably paired to the receiver the same as a car key would be, I know on my garage you can't just copy the frequency to open it. | |

it wont be IR it will be RF, normal remote wont work, can your boss not contact the company who supplied it and get a spare? | |
