The router has a modem built in to it, so you lose the modem. | |

Some routers though are JUST routers, ie not actually modems - so be careful. | |

If you get a Netgear router from ebuyer as recommended, you'll just have a power lead into that, and an RJ11 going into it from the microfilter that's plugged into your phone socket. | |
