ffdshow plays everything except the 2 mentioned above though and won't cause any conflicts. | |

codec packs arent bad if u choose wich codecs you want to install with them... | |

There is no jack on the drive so it's through the sound card. | |

Its not the drive because if its reading the video it has to be able to read the audio too. | |

Also it doesn't matter whether he uses Media Player, Real Player or anything else to watch the DVD, there's still no sound, so I'm thinking maybe it's device driver or hardware related? | |
