If you're going to get an iPad get the proper one instead of the Mini.

13" pro is the one to go for. stick an ssd in it at some point and it'll be faster than an air while being upgradeable

Doesn't it work like Cycle To Work - you pay full price but the money is taken out before tax and NI so you get a saving. It has to be classed as a rental for this to work and it's up to the employer if they charge you at the end to 'transfer ownership' as there can be no guarantee of ownership at the end for it to work?

So the prices above aren't actually what you pay, there's something to pay at the end of it?

quote: We had something similar at work. They tried to use it to get us to pay for our work replacement laptops but putting off the 'standard' replacement cycle. It got canned after 1 year due to so low take-up. One of the big questions is how much do you pay at the end. Its meant to me a market value for it which on a mac could be quite high. You also don't own it until you do buy it out at the end of the lease.

I thought the bottom end one was 256GB now in the 13" varient, I guess not. 128GB really isn't enough - a friend has one and has to be quite careful with it where as I got the 256GB one and just use it as normal. I'm not a massive hoarder of movies and musc though, I have a NAS for that anyway.

quote:I'd take a look at the 11" before considering it. It really is quite small. Too small, imo, for a laptop. 13" is where it's at.

Through work and Salary Exchange I can get a a range of stuff, in this instance any of the above. Comes out of your wages every month, about £30 a time. Tax free etc. |
