Originally posted by Paul_J Yes, but its when people are bored and go 'lets check corsasport' read all the threads in Gen Disc and then move onto the other forums that it works so well... If I'm really bored - I'll read Gen Disc, then read Help + Advice, then read Classifieds then read... etc... Basically if your that bored you get drawn to corsasport Gen Disc board, you may then wander off to the other forums like help + Advice while your here. Otherwise - you may not just go 'hmm I'm bored - I know lets go check Help + Advice on Corsasport' I personally never go straight to 'Help + Advice' first unless if I'm posting a problem myself, if I'm just browsing I always browse General Discussion first and go from there. As I'm sure many people do. Thus, if you have say 50 people browsing at a certain moment in time, say 47 of them may of browsed general discussion first and 3 may of gone straight to other sections... then say 30 of the 47 will then wander to other sections of the site... Without General discussion you may only have say 5 people browsing at a certain time and those 5 people may give relavent advise or ask good questions - but then there's less chance that out of the 5 people browsing someone will know the answer - where as if you have 45 people checking things its more likely 1 of the 45 will know what your problem was. If you check out other forum's that are basically 'Topic related' and nothing else, you usually have to post a question and your likely to get a response in about 2 days time, this site you can expect a response to a problem in about a hour! Paul J [Edited on 24-10-2003 by Paul_J]
