Or you could get the alcantara version for around £500 a seat... lush but I still like the cloth on mine.... I'm not going for a show car so didn't see the point.

Those are mine (not strictly 'buckets' but aftermarket seats). They sit a bit higher than standard but that's because you use adapter bars which connect between the seat and the original sliding frame in the car.

You still can move it back and forwards and tilt it, because it's got the standard base. When you buy 'subframes' it usually just two metal bars with some holes... It's not about cheapness, it's about how you fit them.

Best bet too when buying seats is to go and sit in them! I love my sparcos :D

Fixed buckets wouldn't fail you your MOT because when you strip it out you change the car to be registered as 2 seater...

ok- i want to get some in the next couple of weeks but theres a couple of things i could do with knowing

1- ive seen a couple of corsa with cheap buckets in them and they sat really high- im quite a big lad and i was sat far too close to steering wheel- is this just cos they are cheep and nasty cos i saw some cobra recliners that sat really low

2- is it possible to move the seats backwards and forwards or do they have to be fixed

3- i know you can fail mot for having fixed seats in a 3 door car- is this still the case if you take out back seats?

cheers- pics would be really good
