You got a plan for brakes? If they'll fit then the 14 wheel/tyre should also be a little lighter.

I've got 2.0 cav gsi brakes behind gsi alloys too, fit perfect.

im sure you can fit the 2.0L brakes behind gsi wheels anyway, the 14" sport wheels you can anyway.

quote: on yokos data sheet the 15 has a rolling circumference of 1749mm and the 14 is 1699, width 15 is 202 14 is 197, diameter 15 is 574 and 14 is 557 so from that the sidewall will be near identical

they will be smaller rolling diameter too, so slightly better acceleration

tyre wall height will actually be quite similar as its a ratio of the width, which is slightly less being 185, and thats the only bit you’ll loose out on, contact patch width, but it wont be noticeable tbh

R888's have a softer side wall compared to the Yoko equivilant.

But, from what I've seen usually people run high poundage springs with these kind of tyres, something to do with heat.

I think this is a much better idea, set of black 14" GSi rims with R888's on

I had pair of R888s in 14" on my red Nova and 4x A048 in 14" on my blue Nova, both big block too and handled fine.

Everyone seems to run 15" 195/50/15 but I have two sets of 14" spare wheels in the garage? |
