You just wouldn't do that, if for no other reason the fact that there are other bits to sit it on. The main reason you don't do it is because the sump's more than likely made of aluminium, meaning it's got the same breaking point as a folded over piece of tin foil. And if it's not aluminium it's still only going to be 2-3mm of metal. It's not guarenteed that it's going to poke through but it's more than likely. [/quote]
