[/quote] if you base it purely on power to weight there is a big difference. considering the 1800 still is about 10lb/ft down the xe's 145 ish as std. maybe your engine has less miles, maybe the conversion was done better than most cobbled together xe's. your right though, its all about feeling the difference as could sit here for a fair bit using maths and get nowhere. all im thinking is the cost of doing such an engine conversion compared to an xe which has more torque and power already. its an interesting one the 1800 16v, i will give you that.
