tbh 150 quid (130 plus 20 tax) could be pissed away on one night out..so tbh for a years motoring i'd be laughing, insurance will be next to nothing

do it

If you are looking for a project you could buy it on the principal you are just buying a corsa shell and then go from then.

As already mentioned no point tuning it using the existing engine.

However if you are considering paying only £130 for a car, do you have the budget to tune/style it?

Also dont forget you will lose most of the money invested on tuning/styling when you come to sell it, end of the day it will always be a 14yr old corsa and hence worth such.

no not really on tuning unless you swap the engine, however you see alot of really good looking 1.2s and 1.0l corsas, its upto you really mate

mine was mega unreliable, always something needed fixing, eventually the head gasket went and it was cheaper to put a new engine in, after i had the new engine the EML was constantly on, changed the faulty sensor but never worked, sold it a few weeks later and the lad didnt check the water and cooked the new engine, I decided then and there not to buy a 16v vauxhall motor again. My mate also had a 1.4 sport on a P reg in white, always something going wrong with that, on the plus side it was good on fuel even when hammering it

Yep Ive seen a GLS on a L plate but it was the 1.4 8v lump as it had 1.4 Si written on the back, I had an N reg sport 1.4 16V, was the first of the sports, Sri 16 v are less common as they were introduced right at the end of the SRi line before it was rebadged as sport.

You also had 1.4 16v pre-97 cars. I've seen a 16v N reg GLS :)

Highly unlikely it'll be a 1.2 16v on a 1993.

But for £130 and no MOT laws, you can't really go wrong

Ah rite thanks for clearing that up!

I'm only thinking about it because it doesn't really have any tuning/modding potential and being 18 thats what i want haha

Well he says it's 16v, not seen any paperwork yet. It doesn't have an MOT but you don't need them here in Guernsey (Channel Islands), and no tax but that will be about £20 as they're scrapping tax in December here.

Yer the paint is red.

Hi, my names Giorgio and i'm new here, i'm thinking of buying my mates corsa could you guys tell me if its worth it?

Its a 1993 1.2 16v, 65k , Badly faded paint, small dent in boot and rear quarter, 2 lady owners from new for £130 what do you reckon?

How easy is it to restore the paint when tis gone so badly faded?

and, is it worth spending money on a car like this tuning/looks wise?

Cheers
