Servicing costs in a bit confused on. Ive been reading reviews and is it tyrue that the 1.3cdti only needs servicing every 20k miles :boggle: or have i got the wrong end of the stick?
Modern VX lumps.. :D VXR's doesn't need servicing until 20,000 miles or 1 year. I'd also go for the 1.3 CDTi. Good little engines, plenty of torque. I didn't like the 1.2 16v at all. Needed revving to get out of junctions etc (quite dangerous tbh), it whines like a pig, all the way up the rev range it doesn't seem to get any quicker/pull any more. It'll sit at 90mph all day happily, but getting the bugger going. 1.3 CDTi will have LOADS more power low down the rev range, it'll be just as quick top end, it won't have that horrible distinctive 1.2 whine, and it'll be a bit better on juice.
The 1.3 engines are made by a Polish company and aren't VX engines.
