Yes you can...

But if he sells the car, he can't keep the policy.

Just keep the policy, the no claims will be worth more than loosing £50...

tell them its their own fault for not insurung the GSi, when they were putting me on the van insurance at work they asked the reason for cancelling the cover, told them they wouldn't quote for me on the insurance, the woman at their end said "oh its our fault then? there won't be a cancellation fee and you'll get the remainding money back etc" that was direct line though

PaulW

Nope, never claimed at all

I'm sacrificing 8 months into my 3rd year of no claims in selling up, but even so when I insure the GSi I'll only be able to carry the previous 2 across to that anyways unless I wait till August to insure it...

Robin

He hasn't.

Not sure if it has been said yet, but have you claimed on this policy?

PaulW

Robin - exactly! I want that £200 back to pay Brentacre to insure the GSi... Endsleigh won't cover it

Cosmo - I'll be selling the Omega in about 3-4 weeks, so keeping it insured isn't an option!

just keep running it until the end of the policy then dont renew it.

Wont get your money back but will save you £50.

Robin

That's understandable, but I think Paul's probably more pissed off at the £200 odd quid he's having to pay for the last 4 months, even though he's not carrying the policy on.

most probably when you signed your contract your will have agreed to pay a £25 administration charge for any policy changes and another £25 to cancel the policy, thats the terms on my flux policy

I never pay up front, for this exact reason.

But then, if you claim, and want to get rid of the car, you still have to keep paying the monthly repayments. Check your policy details, that applies to most pay monthly.

bloody gay I tell thee :(

Cant understand how they can justify such large 'Administration' charges, want more money, even tho I didnt claim once...

WTF??

I paid up front for the policy, so owe them nothing...

Been told its a £50 cancellation fee... and I'm unlikely to get the remainder back, infact I'd OWE THEM money??

How?? Where the fek does all this shit come from
