Aren't TVR's being built in a new factory now in Europe?
not BRITISH though is it :( mg/rover are in some asian country i believe. not the same :(
not totally true! the Mg/Rover site i was on yesterday (gaining info for a ZR120) i read a post saying the Chinese have started the production back up again at longbridge with a run of MGTF's, these are only prototypes with the new N series engine, basically its the Chinesse K Series engine with all the uprated parts to stop the head gasket going! Think the run was of 43 or something silly like that and are mainly being hand built. full production was said to be starting again Late April early May, how true this is i'm not 100% sure! But having the Engine built in china should bring prices down, now if they have done it correctly then you should find the N series being more reliable than the K series. the problem that will arise is delivery times as they need to get the engines from china to the uk to mate with the Chassis! But...... this is the good part, as the car will be finished in the UK it will still be a "Brittish" car. how do i know? well the company i work for is going into supply from china and some of the stories i have heard is that 99% of the worlds products are built in china, shipped to the country they are "built" in, the box then taped up and then can be sold as made in germany for example.:!
