Originally posted by nova_gteuk ye i know hes going to get a ban thats stating the obvious, its just cosmo is basically saying its ok to go 35 in a 30,whem i still think thats disgusting myself, its 30 in built up areas where children would be for a reason, and industrial estate i cant see many children being out late at nigh there could you?
No, but all he was saying, is that doing 36mph over the speed limit in a 30, looks worse than 36mph over on the motorway, even though they're both illegal. You're more likely to get caught or banned more speeding in a 30mph. Why do you think the police were sitting there? Because people speed in an area, which isn't designed for speeding. Even though it is an industrial estate, imagine a lorry driver, coming round the corner unexpectedly because you're in the frame of mind that 'nothing is around'. Matt W probably wouldn't be here today. Good job getting caught when he did imo, if not for others safety, but for his too.
