Got caught doing 66mph in a 30mh zone (two lanes, 3/4 almost straight with a few warehouses etc around, wide open road late at night) by an officer with a laser gun thing and pulled me over, issued me with a section 59 warning/seizure notice and said ill be summonsed to court.......
19 with 5 points (AC20 + CD10)
and im out of the two year barrier now,how likely is it that ill get a ban and how long? 12 months or less? 6 points? 9 points? big fine?
i know i was stupid etc etc so please save your breath....

cheers

Think it's 6 points double speed limit. Not sure though, but pretty sure you'll get a small ban

You'll get 6 points if you are lucky. Maybe a ban though as you were caught doing over twice the limit!

i would say that you would get 6 points and a ban for at least a year tbh. the court will not be in your favour as they will see that you have 5 points already

I didn't think the laser guns worked at night. Dunno, could be worth trying it. Might just make it worse though.

driving with out due care and attention and failing to report an accident

wasnt my fault though, no injuries so thought it didnt need to be reported, and it was me who went into someone else, 2" crack on bumper

TBH if you were doing 66 in a 30 and allready have 5 points I gotta say it might do you good to be banned as you obviously didn't learn the 1st time round

edit - although now I see you weren't speeding the 1st time round!

They do work at night. I got caught speeding a couple of years ago and the policeman was using a laser gun. That was at half 11 at night.

im pretty sure if your over double the speed limit then its an automatic ban, but guess you'll have to just wait and find out.

I think you can now change your signature to "Anally Screwed for being a Rodney".

TBH, no-one can say, it'll depend on the judge and their mood, but given your previous convictions, i'd say they will throw the book at you.

Needless to say, your insurance over teh next 5 years will be pure comedy.

As my old man said, your not stupid for speeding, your stupid for being caught.

Double the speed limit usually = BAN (3,6 months)

OR 9 points and dangerous driving etc...

either way
