fair enough buy you're left with a lump at the end.

is it not possible to cut that shape out then bridge the gap?

maybe would've been better filling the door pocket with foam and smoothing that so its all smooth...

would have left the door pocket on personally or started from scratch and made a plywood backing plate by drawing round origonal pocket and cutting out. then you could have put speaker pods on top of that and you wouldnt have had the bits sticking out at the end. Will be good to see how they turn out tho. respect for giving it a go yourself

its going to be interesting what it turns out like, but my guess would be that it isn't going to look right without the pocket. thats my opinion though :)

filled all the spaces an holes at each end with expandin foam an waited for it to set over night, then tongiht i hav cut the foam to size

tbh honest no i didnt scratch or key the door card as iv followed to step by step tutorial on here, only time will tel if it will work but the 1st layer seems to b seetin well i will key the plastic before the 2nd layer of fibre glass just to make sure, im 50/50 if it will work but i hav notin to lose, if it dnt work its experiense at least

did you really scratch/key the door card cos the fibreglass will struggle to stick to it otherwise and they will end up coming away

it had the usual process of fiberglass then filler.sanding etc. then this filler stuff was used (very sloopy, cant remember what u call it now) to get all the little blemishes out.

was then primed using highbuild, flatted down, painted and then laquered.

was a lengthy job to say the least but the result speaks for itself

First advice to you, Make sure you have left movement room for your window winder handle to rotate past :| I did this and fucked everything up :)

Mounted standard speaker holders on top of door card an cut away the vents behind the speaker holder
