I personally don't like dummies books, I borrowed one years ago on C programming and unless you were working through their tutorials on how to do things it didn't actually tell you anything.

If he actually doesnt mind buying a help guide - Windows XP for dummies is quite good.

I got one for PHP/MYSQL Programming a while back - very good if you ask me.

My friend purchased Windows XP Pro from a shop and i just installed and activated it for him :look:
