Originally posted by evansy i'd hurd it was small but that just takes the piss. its like the psone all over again only without the camp colour scheme. dont think i'd get one for an install tho i'd rather go for the silver ps2
its depends on your install - for starters the new slim line is easier to wire up as it only needs a 8.5v power supply, which is dead easy to get from 12volts. Plus its smaller, so you can place it anywhere. However, it does have to be easily accesible, in the install. the old PS2 is a right git to get power to. You either have to use an invertor, which is a big no no for car power supply (as it causes spikes and interfearence etc), but if you dont go for that you need to a 12v PSU unit, which is about 60 quid and voids your warranty. However, you can mount it into your dashboard, or in your glovebox. And you only really need to provide access to the front panel, so you can build your install around it :) its abit of a toss up really...but like i said it all depends on your install and design etc :)
