didnt have an SRi, but did have the same F13 box...

was a complete bziatch to get in 1st & 2nd when cold (really cold), but once warmed up was a bit better

changing the gearbox oil didnt really do a thing other than make it a bit quieter

similar faults in Corsa SXi (2001+) as i cant get the black C in to 2nd sometimes but then it goes in , vuaxhall can fix it though.

When your engine is cold, do you encounter trouble with selecting 1st and 2nd?

I seem to remember my mate in his Mk3 Astra 1.4 8v Si having very simular troubles.

F13 box.
