I'd just wait for your policy and then tax it.

I take it you are buying the car from a garage. When i bought my car, they taxed it for me and i just added the money onto the bill. They didn't ask me for an insurance cert until i picked the car up.

regardless, if it's private or at a garage, the car should be declared SORN if its not taxed!

How do you stand when you buy a new car that has no tax and you are awaiting an insurance cover note for the car? Is there a period of grace to allow for this common problem? |
