Oh yeah i didnt actually insure the alloys, exhaust or induction kit so guess that wud have put it up abit!

I mentioned i had tinted windows to liverpool victoria but the numpty on the phone didnt seem that interested and siad if i was to get any mods on the car just ring up and tell us. so helpful, wankers.

just renewed my insurance, corsa b sri 1.4 8v, fully comp 250 excess for £960-thats above what i was quoted cos i'm doing it monthly. But even that i'm dissapointed at, expected it to be a lot lower :(

I mean the premium seems high. Excess at that age is about right.

oh right, i was quoted for me 12v corsa, with 450 excess, £1100, thats for 18yr old withone year no claim.

Each ins company differs, but the excess is basically an amount they set that you have to pay for any claim... ie you pay £350 excess and they pay the rest for the car to be fixed.

Excess is the amount of money you have to pay if an accident is your fault.

Or, there's sometimes an excess on theft/fire too...

Basically, it means you have to pay the first £xxx of any claim...

not good at this insurance lark and dont want to sound like a numpty but what exactly is the excess value that you get with insurance ? :boggle::boggle:
