it all depends mate, if your happy with the way it is sounding now, then its pointless payin more money on upgrading. But if u want it too look good, take a look around at some installs and see wot u fancy doing....

quote: well, it wont increase battery 'strain' but it will increase overall current draw. But, as batteries arent designed to be discharged quickly, they will help to improve excessive ramps of current draw from the battery. So, yes, overall current draw will be higher due to leakage, but the time taken is longer and so you have less of a steep slope.

quote: is that 400W RMS for the amp? or peak? and yeh, i agree with richie about the cap, spend it on upgrading wiring etc first. Although, it does smooth out the supply a bit more (like in power supply design) and stops the lights from dimming as much. Also it will reduce the strain on your battery, as batteries arent really designed for rapid discharge, so it will be of sligh benifit and if its part of the design of your build u may as well include it. :)

quote: That's basically what I've got, but without the cap + with an older LA600 2x400w amp. Have u got the pioneer VCCS subs? if so this should sound wicked! I also have a set of JBL comps in front + a set of JBL 6x9's running off a 2x200w amp (on high pass) in a stealth shelf in rear! [Edited on 09-03-2005 by mentalasanything]
