i've just done mine and had to give it a bit of sideways leverage until it finally came off. remember to leave the nut on though as it is spring loaded and will smack you in the mush :D. | |

slacken the nut to the end of the thread. now get a piece of bar like a socket extension,place it in the at dead centre of the steering column and wallop it with a lump hammer. the shock should loosen the splines off and allow the wheel to come off easily. | |
