Originally posted by evilrob Check out the Muck Boot company - much better quality for around the same money.
£100 for a pair of wellies?! :!
You can get them for a lot less than a ton, but I don't disagree - it's silly money for a foot condom. I only suggested Muck Boots because Hunters are around that sort of money for a much lower quality product. Muck Boots offer better value for money - horsey types and those who have a legitimate reason for owning a 4x4 rave about them because they last much longer. Hunter are very much a fashion brand these days rather than purveyors of quality utility footwear. Hunters used to command a high price because they lasted longer than equivalent wellies, but in recent years they've reduced the quality while maintaining their premium price because most people buying them don't wear them often enough to notice the difference. Probably not worth buying Muck Boots if you go to a festival once a year or just want to own a pair of Hunters because it has Hunter written on it. To the OP - if you really want to go all out, get her some Le Chameau's - as worn by Kate Middleton. [Edited on 18-11-2014 by evilrob]
