Originally posted by K2 HOY I'm tempted to get a loan of about 2k. Need to get a flat to rent with the girlfriend. Has anyone took a loan about before and how old are you? I'm 18 nearly 19 so what do you think to me taking a loan out? Anyone else done it? Cheers :thumbs:
Don't even think about it mate Me and Richie live with his parents are are ready to move out, i considered getting a loan so we could move out (around 2k) but its not worth it. Scrimp and save for as long as you can, when you move out you will have to pay rent, bills, tax etc etc anyway, without worrying about the extra £150 a month that u have to fork out for your loan. Its better to save then move out, rather than get a loan and be an extra £150 down each month. That way its one less thing to worry about. Around here you can get a 2/3 bed semi for £400 - £500 a month, then you need a months rent up front for a bond and money to get you started so you'd need at least £1500. If you and your gf save now, and save £150 a month each you will have £1200 by xmas, then £1500 in January. Have one last xmas at home, then make a fresh start at the beginning of the new year :D IMO anyway :P thats my plan .... whoop whoop:cool:
