Nightmare job to undo a 2 litre conversion. Once its done you'll want to resolve problems with another engine. They're 400 quid at the expensive end though and you've already got the loom, ecu, shafts etc. if the one for 200 quid goes pop. | |

ok cheers. got a full calibra 2.0 16v that someone might be selling for around £200, so i'm thinking of buying it but it depends on what the insurance is like | |

No, well u might need to take a tiny bit off the bulkhead. Depending if u use the SFi pipe method or a powercap and if its before or after the facelift :) mine was before, and its bulkhead is a slightly different shape to the newer ones. | |

It would be as hard to convert it back as it is converting it in the first place. Well easier actually cause you'll work everything out the first time. Its exactly the same but in reverse?! Is that really that hard to work out....... | |

Why not just spend the money on the 1.6 16v engine, you can get some good power out of them and they are lighter leading to some better handling and such like. Its a consideration. | |

i got a 1.6 16v sport and i'm thinking of sticking a 2.0 in, but i just wanna know how easy it is to stick the 1.6 back in if needs be? |
