I'm running a 4awg wire from the battery to a distribution then 2 8awg wires. One to each amp. Its been like that for over a year now, no probs.:)

i have run my two amps off the same wire from the battery into a ditribution block then off to the two amps with a fuse along those to wires, this seems ok? or is it not likely to last??

If added RMS is less than the fuse?

yeah, so long as the fuse in the power wire is the original one. Dont change it for a bigger one incase the wire cant cope with the load and it overheats. But yeah!

what is the RMS rating of the amp? If the added RMS of both the amps is less than the fuse can take then it will be fine.

I hav a 4 awg power cable going to my 1500max amp. Is it OK to put another small amp to power my 6x9s on the same power cable? |
