since this post he hes had a 2 litre in. new brakes, written it off and bought a new car :lol: | |

Not so much "bigger" brakes, but uprated discs & pads... like EBC greenstuff, they bite much more when they are warm (moreso than standard ones) just the 2L brakes will run a bigger disc giving more leverage at the caliper 2 stop :) | |

they may have a bit more travel due to the larger size but the pedal can be adjusted, | |

I wasn't sure as I remember reading in the Haynes/Max Power manuel about bigger brakes taking longer to get up to temperature and they wouldn't work as well on smaller engines! Something like that anyway. | |

no shouldnt cause a problem as long as they are fitted and bled correctly. | |

i know a lad on here who has just uprated his brakes he only has a 1.0 or a 1.2 cant remember. | |

At the moment I've got a 1.0l and the brakes are screeching like mad! After Xmas I will be having the 2.0l 16v put in, so will need to uprate the brakes. |
