did u buy a autoleads adaptor to fit them? the wiring plug they give u is shit i had this prob wit my c either cut the plugs off or wrap loads of insulation tape round it! | |

mine is a 1993 ls model and mine had component front speakers. | |

brummie, it seems like ur pushing your JVC amp too hard to power them and its cutting out, or the JBL crossovers have a protection feature on them to stop underpowering damaging the speakers. | |

Yes but ur headunit has still gotta give it that power to give it that volume!!! Your old speakers arent components! They are about 5 or 10 watts standard! | |

i didnt have that problem with my old speakers tho! the jbl's are 210 watts so i thought they would handle some volume! | |

it could be the protection feature on the crossovers which some of them have, or its the protection feature on ur headunit kicking in. Components shouldnt be run off a h/u | |

just replaced the standard speakers and tweeters with some nice new jbl gto6506ce components, the broblem is when they are at about half volume they start to splutter and cut out! i have checked the wiring and this is all sweet. |
