because the 2.0 produces 3 times more power and more inportantly torque than the car was designed to take!

However going from a 1.0 to a 2.0 is not the most practical of ideas.

Some times i wonder what planet people are on when they think its as simple as Dropping the new engine in and screwing a few things down. Do they ever look under a bonnet???

its alot harder than just planting the engine in...mounts and shafts need changing aswell...av been lookin for an engine (decent)for sumtime now and am still looking...needs ecu and loom intact aswell most scrappies just take the block out...ring around and u'll c wot i mean

the problem with doing either a 1.4 or 1.6 conversion is that PVD dont do fitting kits for them

So is it relatively straight forward to fit the 1.6 into the corsa?

1600 has more torque, more power. 1.4 16v is good (know someone with Throttle bodies running 165bhp), but the 1.6 is better.

the 1600 is a good engine as long as you can get a goodun cos generally these have been thrashed more than the 1400 (although the 1600 can take more) but apparently they do have a tendancy to drink oil, but the swap for a 1600 should be easy enough as long as you have all the parts as the corsa could have this motor in off the factory line
