Remove bulb :)

And what happens if the car has another fault? :o

Be reet. You will know it has a fault when it makes funny noises or stops working.

EML will only come on when you slow down from sitting at a constant rev/speed. Depending on the car it stays on or just comes on for a couple of seconds.

It does solve the running problems though.

You can also get the plate from vauxhall for a C14SEL (Foreign x14xe), dont know how much wonga it is though.

I've always been told/believed it is better to put it on at 90 degrees to the factory position so it is just held on with one bolt.

JaffaTB

yeah, but when i did the one on my 1.2 corsa i put the blanking plate on and then the EGR back over it so it was still in its normal position

Eddx14xe

Yes.

MarkSport

Yeah i've just spotted them for £5.90 delivered. seems like a good price tbh.

I take it you put the gasket then blanking plate and put the egr tied up somewhere in the engine bay?

JaffaTB

you can get them on ebay mate, or just make one out of a coke can :)

Hi All,

Has anyone got any info on these? My egr needs replacing on the astra but as a temporary messure I'm thinking of blanking it. I had one previous but never used it and gave it shaunmods
