Update on whats now going on:

I've rung round everywhere in the yellow pages for an auto electrician's quote. They ranged from "£45 an hour but we don't know how long it will take" to "can't be done" to "30 an hourif you get us a new loom" to "£45 or there abouts".

I'm gonna go for the guy who said he can come out and give me a quote, and it should be about £45.

My fingers are well and truly crossed. Just gotta wait for my Electric Mirror switch to turn up!

There 8.75 each matey. Cobra 148 has the part numbers on his tutorial on fitting them in the FAQ's section.

Dead easy to fit - take rod out of locking mechanism to release handle and swap. Pins are REALLY hard t get out, but all works out ok.

Not yet - but I don't wanna take my windows apart only to find that they don't work!

Trying to cover all possibilities before I take the plunge.

I'm doing it tomorrow morning (Sat). If it goes wrong I'll be posting here!

Does anyone else know of any possible complications?

how would I go about fitting that? Won't it do it by default?

and will everything be there already between the door and the battery/fuse box?

Thanks for the reply mate.

Just before I fit my electric windows, I've got the following:

Motors,
Door Wiring,
Switches,
Switch Housing

- do I need anything else? Like a loom or owt? I've got a 1.2 16v Corsa Club (1999).

Thanks for any help,

Rich
