ok took it to a garage they saying water pump so asked them to do water pump, thermostat,fanswitch,cambelt while its apart | |

also when my mates thermostat went sometime the fan would kick in sometimes it would and all different temperatures | |

well thats the first thing i would of done as it takes 5 minutes to change and its pennies compared to the thermostat always start of small then work your way bigger is my moto and dont fix nothing thats not broke lol | |

off to vaux to get a new switch then, stuck the wire in and came on, dont think this is the only problem but its 1 step closer to none overheating lol | |

it depends because you car will only cool itself if you fan isnt working by wind chill and if your not going fast enough and it isnt cold enough you will overheat | |

but the fan doesnt need to eon while driving usualy ? it overheats while driving :@ | |

also if you bridge the wires and that works you can either wire it up to a switch or remove the 30/32 mil nut that the wires plug into (water will poor out) and change that plug back in and fill with water and antifreeze 50/50 | |

well i would say fan switch if you open your bonnet on the car it will be next to your air filter at the bottom of your fan unplug that and bridge the wires see if that works and its not a good idea to put cold water into a warm engine also antifreeze prevents rust etc etc | |

anyways my 1.2 has just started overheating today, gauge flys up to the red box (while driving) and fan doesnt kick in, driving low revs isnt cooling it at all like it used to after being in traffic for abit, |
