Got the car running.....the problem i found was the MAP snesor pipe was cut, and came loose.

Anyway, drove the car bout 15 miles, now the engine cut off in a junction....and just wont restart :(, i was towed home :(

What could it be? I've checked all the pipes, and they are all connected.

Your crank shaft sensor is located just above the cv boot on the gear box on th edrivers side. you will pay about £20-£30 for the part and it is very simple to fit.

Thats the KNOCK sensor.

Thanks i thought so

no its isn't the knock sensor it is the crank sensor :)

I've had a price of £29.31 plus vat, Im picking it up tommorow.

If i remember it's located on the driver side, and is it hard to get off? I think last time the bolt was just spinning

crank sensor on a x14xe engine is just attatched to the block by a smal bracket reading off the crank pulley...

The sypmtoms usually inc: If the engine won't start, i.e. turns over but doesnt fire up, and cuts out on de acceleration

On a diagnostic scanner the fault code wil be P0335.

this could be the problem why my corsa wont start then?

C2RL R

it would stall when you come to a stop and let off the accelerator and then wouldn't restart again straight away.

john_c20xe

would not start, or if you play about with the wire the revs will go all over the place

If the crank sensor is faulty on a 1.4 16v sport, what would the problems be?:boggle:
