Should have just taken the box off the back to start it to get you home. Ignition barrel comes out easy enough.

The bit inside the barrel has been pushed further by the AA man by mistake so the stump doesnt connect to the lost bit anymore

Push it fully in and use the stubby bit that is left to turn and start the car. If it's all lined up, i can't see why it won't turn.

Remove the ignition barrel and see if you can strip it down to get the key out.

None of the key is protruding, and no pics im afraid. The key is in its normal position had it still been attached to the key if the car was running :(

Any pictures? How far in is the key, or indeed how much if any is protruding?
