I had the 43 fault code on mine as well, changed the DIS pack and it made no difference. Being that mine has a X16XE lower and upper inlet on a C16XE I think the earthing problem might be my problem.

that fault is the egr valve i think i get the same with mine since fitting the inlet, car runs ok but light comes on ive got egr fault its because its been blocked where the triangle plate is, can be solved by blocking the hole where the egr bolts on and leaving the valve free to air instead i think

Any more suggestions, seems to come on after a short while and when your down shifting coming up to junctions etc. Once its on it stays on until you switch the car off.

Right Tried another earth point today but this hasent solved the problem. Earthed it on the lower inlet as well as the battery earth, still getting the codes and ECU light though :

Yer they are the ones we think it is, going to extend the wires and run them to the main earth on the starter moter bolt that you mentioned.

The starter motor mounting bolt directly to the battery negative terminal is the main earth.

I am going to try and re earth what i think is the problem tomorow. Where is the most reliable earth point to try within the engine bay that is easily accessable?

aye I have just had a u2u saying it could be the earth that bolts onto where the throttle body used to be. Where is that in this pic? (ignore the red circle and that fact that it desperatly needs a clean  )

So its probably not related to the new parts that were fitted?

Car appears to be running fine. however the ecu light is coming on after about 20mins into a journey and stays on until the car is turned off. The process then starts again. |
