Colin, if you've got new top mounts, you don't need spring compressors, if you haven't you do, to get the old ones off the normal struts.

When I took the fronts off mine the other day, it took me about 15 minutes each side, including sorting the springs out, so I reckon you could do the whole lot in an hour, as you've not got to take anything apart like I did.

Easy job really.

Try getting new top mounts from VW if they're cheap enough and you can't be fooked to take the springs/shocks apart.

your averge person max 3 hours

airgun = compressed air going into the back of a gun, it turns the socket at high speed with a lot of torque behind it, thus helping the rusted on bolts :P

mind you big breaker bar and wd40 does the same job :P

Thats what I was thinking, on the corsa, you have to take some items off your existing shock to then transfer to the coilovers.

no special tools bar a torque wrech and relevent figures in yer heed.

Only need spring compressors (in my experience) with fixed height kits

you dont need spring clamps, sometimes the rear shocker tops can just spin if they havent been off a while an thus a spanner an moles grips is a pain in the arse.

I'd be using spring clamps myself, apart from that just your usual spanners etc.

nothing special at all, however an airgun makes doing the rears so much easier.

Will I need any special tools to fit a set of coilovers, or just the C-spanner that should be included??

Do I need spring clamps or anything............I had a set but lent them to a mate & never saw them again :o
