Ok i will try that, but I cant find the radio code anywhere, so presumably I will lose the use of it after disconnecting the battery?

battery off overnight will work or there is a 30amp fuse you can pull

Right after taking the advice on the forum, I have replaced the crank sensor and the MAF sensor, and its still jumping and the engine management light still comes on randomly. I have not reset the system though, how do you do that?

Strangely no problem to or from work today(only 3 miles each way, and it was a bit cooler today if that does have an affect, but it is the first time I have driven home from work without the cangarooing or the light comin on, the car was steam cleaned before I bought it, apparently that can cause sensor issues, Is that so?

crank position sensor on my 1ltr played up when the engine was warm which is why i said change it first. Plus its cheaper by miles lol
