To remove the gear gaiter, you might need to remove the knob also to get it off the shaft, unless you decide to trash your old gaiter. Knob needs a good yank to get it off.

Richbrook surround is a good bit of kit for fitting your new custom gaiter.

are you serious??

honestly its a 30min job max, the gearstick the easy one, the pastic pops out of the holding and from there it just a matter of removing gaiter from the plastic,
the handbrake is the hard one!! just take no prisioners!!

ah its easy!!

Gearstick gaiter:
this is attached/wrappred around a plastic mould. if you lift the plastic from behind the gearstick it should lift away, from here remove the staples holiding it to the plastic moulding and then remove from the shaft

Handbrake gaiter: little bit tricky. feel down the gaiters edge until you find a plastic plate, this is what the gaiter is attached to. tug hard at this and it should work itself free. carefully angle it out of the slot in the carpet and its out. Again remove the staples and then peal back the gaiter to remove from the handle itself....

shows the plastic of the gearstick gaiter

running along the bottom is the plastic to wich the gaiter is stapled

hope that helps!
