Had this prob on an old Ford some years ago. Totally cooked the rear bearing, so it wouldnt come out even with a sledghammer. | |

new bearings are about £7 for a complete set. | |

didnt realise you meant the front bearing, its usually the rear that jams on the stub axle. | |

yeah ive been tapping the bearing and trying to squeeze a screwdriver on the edge to pull it out! | |

either a slide hammer on the drum or can you unbolt the stub axle and take the drum/stub axle off in 1 and get it in a vice and have a go at it with a hammer? :cool: | |

a puller will get it off. or just use a big open end spanner behind it and prise it forward on the shaft. | |

i changed my drums, fitted the new ones and put everything back together but i tightened the nut toooo much and i need to take the drum of as i forgot to put the ring in also!!! |
