only thing with the X14XE engine is you have to do a lot to get a bit out of it. | |

thanks everyone. i'm from New Zealand so finding a c16se is going to be hard but its either that or an x14xe if I can't find the c16se. the c16se was not sold in NZ after 1997. | |

no way!! 16v all the way! you wont regret it especialy when u decide to tune em up a bit... there all just as easy as one another to fit. | |

a ci16se would be the best bet.i had to do the same with mine as my engine came out of a astra.:thumbs: | |

I can vouch for the ease of fitting the C16SE since I dropped one in my SRi a couple of months back. I didn't even have to change the engine loom (1.4 8v) :thumbs: | |

a c16se will be alot easier to fit - no need to change mounts, and should just bolt in and wiring will be the same or very simular | |

im eyeing up a conversion from my 1.4 SOHC 8v to either a c16se or a x14xe. im intending to modify whichever engine i put in with headers, full exhaust, throttle body, chip, new inlet manifold (i already have a CAI). |
