deadlocks prevent the door from being opened. when the window is smashed and they pull the door lock/unlock catch it won't actually pull up still leaving all the door locked

edit: not door... doors!

neither !!. The dead locks are controled by the c/l module

it very complicated to do the deadlocks with out understanding how thay work

The drivers door lock actvates all the dead locks on the car. The drivers door is only deadlocked by the key (it has a mechanical deadlock not electrical like the rest of the car)

so even if you did get the remote deadlock to work the drivers wouldn't be dead locked anyway

there are ways around it but its too complex

If you buy one of those remote central locking kits to upgrade your key central locking...... are you still able use the deadlocks?? as in leave the lock in the deadlock and alarm position and still be able to unlock, and then deadlock n' alarm the car again through the remote fob?? The deadlocks make it so the car cant be opened from inside n that, so do the kits get over this, or is it generally a lock n unlock type thing, not able to be deadlocked through it??

Cheers :)
