Oh and no silicone unles your willing to let it dry for a while as it will contaminate the oil and also make it a pain in the arse to remove the gasket possibly leaving deposits in then oil ways when you try and remove it. Not good | |

Just press the gasket onto the head touch of oil on the outline to make a seal then tighten up the rocker cover doing it up oposite ends inwards and not over tighten. Tighten till you feel the bolt grab then half a turn. | |

problem with rocker cover gaskets is they tend to get overtightened | |

its is the rocker cover gasket mines weaping from the same place at first it looked like it was comimg from behind the dis pack. Have a look where the gasket comes down over the hump on the front cam the pattern part gaskets have a mold/join line on that corner what makes it leak. also have a look at the breather pipes aswell as thay can weap and crack around where the clip is | |
